I love my home studio, but having one is an immense privilege, and it’s not the right move for everyone! If you’re in the Tampa/St. Pete/Bradenton area, here are some of my favorite studios!
- Atelier St. Pete: Not only is owner Kayla the nicest human, her space is truly magical. It’s incredibly affordable if you’re looking for consistent space without instruction. And if you want instruction, she’s got that, too!
- Morean Arts Center: Morean offers phenomenal classes, and you get access to open studio time with it!
- Tampa Parks and Rec: There are a bunch of options (and full disclosure, I haven’t worked at every studio they have!), and the price is great if you’re just starting out. The only downfall here is the waitlist….
- The Hive St. Pete: I’ve visited here a few times and am always so impressed by just the general vibe! Really laid back and relaxed, if Morean intimidates you, check this place out!
This list is, admittedly, short. I tried to keep it to places that I knew, or knew of, well enough to suggest. I also did not include places that offered largely one-off classes. If you’re looking for single experience classes, Atelier St. Pete offers them (number 1 on this list!), and so does Sugar Cream Clay!
